Zion Central Middle School’s (ZCMS) National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) went on a service field trip to Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville on Wednesday, November 28. 21 members and 4 sponsors attended the service project. Along with volunteers from other organizations, our students packed 46,008 meals that will feed 125 kids for a year in an impoverished country. The students had a great time contributing to a great cause and learned the value of helping others.

“It was fun. We were there to help children who couldn’t afford to eat. There was also a competition going on between the groups to see who could pack more food. We were having so much fun, we didn’t feel the time go by until it was time to leave,” said Aaron Barrios, 8th Grader at ZCMS. Everyone at ZCMS is incredibly proud of the work and effort the NJHS students have put in to serve those less fortunate.
